Terms of service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms govern your use of Adamas Research (“the Service”), operated by [operator name], an individual based in Portugal (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms, the disclaimer and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
The Service is a web application for personal investment research. It lets you record portfolios, holdings, transactions, watchlists, price alerts and property; browse market data, news and screeners; read learning material; take part in a community forum; and generate AI-assisted analyses. It is a tool for organising information. It does not provide investment, legal or tax advice, does not execute transactions and does not hold assets on your behalf.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You sign in with a Google account or an email sign-in link. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure and for everything done through your Adamas Research account.
- One account per person. You may not share or transfer your account.
- You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, including market manipulation, insider dealing or fraud;
- post content in the community that is misleading, defamatory, abusive, spam, or that promotes or solicits investments;
- present yourself as a licensed adviser, or offer advice to other users in exchange for compensation;
- scrape, bulk-download, resell or redistribute market data obtained through the Service;
- probe, overload, reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
- upload malicious code or attempt to access other users’ data.
We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that breach these rules, without notice where necessary.
4. No advice, your responsibility
All content in the Service, including AI output, screener results and community posts, is general information. We are not a financial intermediary and are not supervised by the CMVM or any other regulator. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Read the disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
5. Third-party data and services
Market data is provided by third parties under their own terms, which you also agree to respect when you use the Service:
- Stock quotes, company profiles, fundamentals, news and symbol search: Finnhub (finnhub.io).
- Historical price series: Twelve Data (twelvedata.com).
- Cryptoasset prices and market data: CoinGecko (coingecko.com).
- Exchange rates: European Central Bank reference rates via Frankfurter.
- AI features: models provided by Anthropic.
Data may be delayed, interrupted or withdrawn by the provider. We may change providers at any time. We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party services.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you enter into the Service: portfolio data, notes, properties, posts and comments. You grant us a licence to store, process and display that content as needed to run the Service. Community posts and comments are visible to all signed-in users; everything else is private to your account. You are responsible for having the right to post what you post.
7. Intellectual property
The Service’s software, design, learning content and branding belong to the operator or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own research. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Service except as these terms allow.
8. AI features
AI-generated content is produced automatically and may be inaccurate. When you use an AI feature, the inputs you provide (for example your holdings or a question) are sent to the model provider to generate the response; see the privacy policy. You may not use AI features to generate content that breaches section 3.
9. Availability and changes
The Service is provided free of charge and “as is”. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time. We try to keep it available but make no promise about uptime, and scheduled jobs (such as alert checks) may be delayed or skipped. We may update these terms; we will show the new date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On closure your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, capital, data or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, from any data or content in it, or from any investment decision you make. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to EUR 100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Portuguese or EU consumer law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Disputes are subject to the courts of Portugal, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live if you are a consumer in the EU. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform or the Portuguese alternative dispute-resolution bodies listed at [consumidor.gov.pt link].
